In her Parisian studio situated in La Marais, Odile never works alone. Displayed on her “Inspirations Wall” are the great women of her family. Odile’s ancestors look after her, with a soft glance through antique photos and the delicate beauty of textiles from their time. Their attires, especially the most intimate, reveal the soul’s independence. By chance, Odile found the fineries of laces and embroideries, in an old hidden valise when she was a child. Today, for every drawing, Odile opens this treasure of memories which seems to have been prepared for her through generations.
To produce her creations, Odile is inspired by women of the past. With a delicate nostalgia, she aptly inter-mixes luxurious materials with the gracefulness of laces and the subtlety of embroideries to find the garments’ poetry of olden days. A closer examination of Odile’s unique pieces reveal that they are branded somewhere by the line’s embellishment; a heart. “This is because what I create comes from the heart. It’s personal for me and for what I do. I try to transfer the soul of the tradition of strong women,” said Odile. In addition, a sensual mischief is brought to every design with charm and courage of women today and yesterday.
